In Birwana in westernmost Anbar and 10 km from Haditha, security forces supported by tribal fighters laid an ambush on ISIL gunmen of whom 5 were killed; they were non-Iraqi Arab nationals, according to a source at the Haditha municipality.
Coalition warplanes also targeted a number of ISIL military vehicles, killing at least 23 gunmen.

In Baghdadi, the situation remains unchanged, but security forces have been able to liberate three villages in the southwestern outskirts of the town. Security forces' snipers have also killed 3 gunmen in the area between Baghdadi and Haditha.

In Ramadi, running battles are still underway in the city's southern sector districts. Security forces have asserted that they have killed 17 ISIL gunmen over the past three days and that they have penetrated several kilometers into the Hawz district.

In Fallujah, there has been an escalation in operations in the areas around the city, particularly in Garma and Amiriyat Al-Fallujah. Within the city, 3 residents have been killed and 7 wounded by mortar fire.
